The ETICS OSM-LUM/ CTL ETF5 Meeting is being held this week in Bad Saarow, near Berlin.


More than 25 luminaire experts from European certification bodies are gathering for technical exchanges and strengthened cooperation within the ENEC and CTL communities.

Key topics discussed during the meeting included:
✅ Updates on EU deviations in TRFs and their application across the EN/IEC 60598 series
✅ Progress of the Battery Working Group and implications for luminaires
✅ Procedures for after-life recertification and retrofit luminaires
✅ National deviations, including the Spanish deviation for EN IEC 60598-2-22
✅ Liaison updates with IEC TC 34
✅ CTL topics including equipment lists and the ETF5 report
✅ Technical discussions on the common application of EN/IEC standards, including EN/IEC 60598-1, 60598-2-3, 60598-2-20, 60598-2-22, 61347-1, 61347-2-13 and 62031
✅ Preparation of updated decision sheets for 2026
