At the 40th OSM‑HA meeting in Treviso, members of the European Certification Schemes – experts for testing household equipment, electrical tools and similar products – addressed a wide range of technical questions across EN 60335‑1 and several Part‑2 standards.
Topics included:
➡️ Remote‑operation safety for heaters,
➡️ Marking and instruction requirements, insulation and earthing interpretations,
➡️ Software integrity and Annex U,
➡️ Overload testing of fans,
➡️ Pressure‑limiting controls,
➡️ Appliance stability, and updated accessibility provisions in EN IEC 60335‑2‑14.
The exchanges were highly constructive and demonstrated once again the strong technical collaboration within our group.
